About Us

Who We Are

The Geelong Landcare Network (GLN) is a networked community of Landcare and “Friends” groups encompassing an area to the west and north of Geelong.

The GLN helps to coordinate the activities of these groups and their members to address land stewardship issues of environmental concern. Focusing on building productive, sustainable, and biodiverse landscapes.

GLN supports our member groups to bring together landholders to share knowledge and achieve on-ground environmental improvements. The network coordinates a broad range of activities involving farmers, landholders and others who are trying to improve ecological health and agricultural sustainability at a local and regional scale.

The activities of the member groups that make up the GLN include fencing and protecting waterways, protecting remnant vegetation (including wetlands), revegetation with native species and treatment of invasive weeds and pest animals.

The goal of our projects is to create healthy ecological linkages between urban areas, farms and remnant vegetat
